made his appearance on the Feyenoord training field on Wednesday morning. The wing attacker has been struggling with a knee injury in recent weeks, but seems to have taken the next step in his rehabilitation. Arne Slot also saw two other Feyenoord players return to the training field.

Stengs started Wednesday with individual training, but later joined Feyenoord’s match, Feyenoordtraining.nl reported on X on Wednesday afternoon. A few hours later, the club channel of the reigning national champion shares training photos of, among other things, the summer signing. It is expected that Stengs will return to the match selection of the current number two in the Eredivisie in the short term.

For Feyenoord fans, Stengs’ return is a great relief. The left leg was injured by Marvin Peersman in the semi-final of the TOTO KNVB Cup against FC Groningen (2-1 win). There was great shock afterwards. Even Slot feared a cruciate ligament injury, but the damage was somewhat minor.

Not only Stengs returned to Training Complex 1908 on Wednesday, but Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Antoni Milambo were also spotted on the field. The Feyenoord players trained together and had a lot of fun, Feyenoordtraining.nl noted. Jahanbakhsh has missed the last few matches due to a hip injury, while Milambo has been missing since March 10.
