Feyenoord presented MediaMarkt as the new main sponsor on Wednesday. The electronics giant will therefore be on the shirt of the Rotterdam club for the next three seasons.

The deal between Feyenoord and MediaMarkt had been in the air for a number of weeks. Feyenoord reportedly earns around 20 million euros from the deal over three seasons.

Feyenoord announced the lucrative deal on Wednesday afternoon in a video with Royston Drenthe, who played a total of 37 matches for the Rotterdam team between 2005 and 2007.

MediaMarkt is the successor to EuroParcs (previously Droomparken), which has been the main sponsor of the Rotterdam team since 2019 and has been on the shirt since 2021. MediaMarkt is a German retail chain. The company has branches in twelve countries, 55 of which are in the Netherlands. The company’s head office is located in Rotterdam.

Previously, Qurrent, ASR Insurance, Fortis, Eneco, Stad Rotterdam Insurance and Opel appeared on Feyenoord’s shirt. Gouden Gids was the first main and shirt sponsor of the Rotterdam team in 1982.
