Jamie Carragher doubts Arne Slot’s move to Liverpool. The head coach of Feyenoord is often associated with the English superpower on the Mersey, which lost the derby against Everton FC 2-0 at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening. Slot has impressed Carragher with Feyenoord, but he still has to see it all at Anfield.

Carragher, or affectionately Carra mentioned, is a real club legend of the club that Slot might go to. In his career, the central defender has only played for one club: Liverpool. Played no fewer than 508 matches Carra for the Scousers. As a centre-back, scoring is less common, but in those 508 games Carragher only scored four times. He talks about his doubts about Slot.

“From Feyenoord to Liverpool is a huge leap. I think it shows at the moment that there is probably a shortage of real top managers in terms of who Liverpool are going for. First it was Xabi Alonso – only his first full season as manager – then there was Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP, who is only 39. Now Arne Slot is the favorite,” says the Liverpool legend Sky Sports.

“But Liverpool are in a different era now. They compete at the top of the Premier League every season. Next season they expect to at least reach the quarter-finals in the Champions League. I think it’s a huge jump, but he’s clearly a great coach with a great track record so far. We will see,” concludes the Briton.
