As previously reported, Feijenoord Stadium will receive compensation to stop concerts in De Kuip as of 2026. The amount from the municipality is 11.8 million euros, according to RTV Rijnmond.

Last week it was announced that Feijenoord Stadium had signed a deal with the municipality of Rotterdam. According to stadium director Lillian de Leeuw, the stadium “takes social responsibility based on the idea of being a good neighbor.” The most striking agreement is the ban on large-scale concerts in De Kuip from 2026.

Feijenoord Stadium will receive 1 million for development costs from STIGAM (Stichting Gebiedsontwikkeling aan de Maas). Feyenoord had already paid out an amount of 2 million to the stadium for development costs. Added together, the amount corresponds to the Feijenoord stadium’s debt to Goldman Sachs. Although Feyenoord itself would like to see more investment in overdue maintenance of the Kuip from now on, the loan from Goldman Sachs will probably first be repaid with money. The municipality also endorses the aim to invest in the maintenance of De Kuip.
