Spanish police have arrested three Dutchmen and a Spaniard who injected drugs into sweets and sold them via the internet. According to authorities, the organization has been dismantled.

Spanish police report that the drug trade was the work of a gang led by a Dutch couple from the Costa del Sol. The couple owned a gym there, among other things.

The organization sent the drugs by post throughout Europe. The gang had an extensive network of companies for hiding and laundering the capital proceeds, Spanish media reported.

The police carried out several house searches on the Costa del Sol, but also in Maspalomas on Gran Canaria. The authorities seized twelve thousand bags of candy and snacks containing THC (the substance from cannabis) and packages containing cocaine.

Firearms, cash, real estate and luxury cars were also seized. Accounts with a total of 620,000 euros were blocked.
