After the departure of Jutta Leerdam from Jumbo earlier this week, director Sven Kramer said that the skating team is choosing a different path. That exit goes via Suzanne Schulting, who was captured on Thursday with another ace Selma Poutsma. In this way, Jumbo will also focus on short track speed skating. “We want to do something different from the rest and we strongly believe in cross-pollination,” says director Sven Kramer.

For years, Jumbo was the long track stronghold of the Netherlands, but now the skating formation is broadening its horizons. The formation of Jac Orie and Sven Kramer is taking a multidisciplinary approach towards the Milan 2026 Winter Games with three short track speed skaters on board. Multiple Olympic champion Suzanne Schulting will join, as will her golden relay colleague Selma Poutsma. And 17-year-old Angel Daleman also joins Team Jumbo for her long-track training.
