According to the BBC and Motorsport.com, this wish to leave has to do with the unrest within the Red Bull team and the riot surrounding team boss Christian Horner.
Red Bull does not seem to be worried at the moment. The Austrian racing team did not issue an official message on Thursday evening. A spokesperson for Red Bull Racing said in a statement to Motorsport.com how they stand in the race: “Adrian is under contract until at least the end of 2025 and we have not heard that he will leave for another team.” It is not clear which team Newey will switch to and whether he will continue to work in Formula 1. In recent months he has been linked with Aston Martin and Ferrari.
