Curious how a polder mill keeps our feet dry, or how a flour mill grinds grain? During the National Mill Days on May 11 and 12, millers from Utrechts Landschap are ready to let their visitors enjoy this typically Dutch living monument.

Festivities Mills Oog in ‘t Zeil and de Hoop

There are forty windmills in the province of Utrecht, of which Utrechts Landschap manages 23. Each mill is unique and has its own story. There are many enthusiastic volunteers active in Molenland. During National Mill Days, these volunteers like to share their passion. There are guided tours of the millers and children’s activities. Mill Oog in ‘t Zeil and Molen de Hoop will be festively put into use on May 11 after a period of work. View more information per mill below.

About Utrecht Landscape

Utrechts Landschap protects nature and heritage in the province of Utrecht. We have been purchasing nature and heritage for almost 100 years to preserve it for future generations. We manage more than 5,800 hectares of nature and special heritage, including more than 20 country estates, 23 mills, Loenersloot Castle, military heritage and Steenfabriek Bosscherwaarden.

Nature is indispensable for our life on earth. We are nature. If we don’t give nature a voice in this fast-paced world, it will lose its power. That is why Utrechts Landschap takes responsibility. We make choices for the long term and keep the peace. We purchase nature and heritage, manage it in a sustainable way and tell our story.

Together with volunteers, Protectors and everyone who supports our goal, we ensure more nature in the province of Utrecht. Are you in? Visit www.utrechtslanden.nl.
