Denzel Dumfries celebrated Internazionale’s title celebration in a remarkable way on Sunday. The Dutch back showed the fans a banner on which he is chaining his AC Milan colleague Theo Hernández.
Dumfries was presented with the banner during the activities. The 28-year-old right wing defender did not hesitate and showed the crowd with dedication the scene in which he has Hernández firmly under the chain.
The photoshopped image is a reference to a recent collision between Dumfries and Hernández. Last Saturday, both players received a red card after an upset in the final phase of the Milan derby AC Milan-Inter (1-2).
With that victory, Inter secured the Italian national title. That award was celebrated on Sunday after the home match against Torino (2-0). Dumfries did not play due to a suspension due to the red card against AC Milan, but did make a mark during the festivities.
Dumfries made the transfer from PSV to Inter in 2021 and is therefore in his third season in Milan. In his first years, the 52-time Dutch international was a permanent fixture, but lately he has often had to tolerate Matteo Darmian.
