SC Cambuur does not have to count on a full away section this Friday for the match against Roda JC in Kerkrade. In consultation with various supporters’ associations, the club has decided to travel to Limburg with a minimal delegation.

The delegation therefore only consists of the match selection, the staff and the media team of the club. This was decided due to the ‘supporter-unfriendly conditions’ imposed by the local triangle, according to the club and supporters’ associations. For that reason, the board of the Leeuwarders will not travel to Limburg.

Next Friday’s away match could only be attended by a so-called mandatory bus combination with a ‘detention procedure’ after the match. This means that away fans are not allowed to leave the away section immediately after the match. According to the Leeuwarders, clubs that recently played in Kerkrade had to wait at least an hour before they were allowed to leave the stadium after the match.

Because the club and supporters’ associations are not happy with these measures, it has been decided not to purchase tickets for supporters from Limburgers. Earlier this season, the Leeuwarders drew 1-1 at home against Roda JC.
