Levi Smans will switch to SC Heerenveen this summer. According to the Leeuwarder Courant the midfielder from VVV-Venlo should become the second reinforcement for the Frisians after Sam Kersten.

The 21-year-old Smans is a real trendsetter in the Kitchen Champion Division this season and was recently named ‘best talent’ of the fourth period. Under the leadership of trainer Rick Kruys, who has also been associated with SC Heerenveen in the past period, Smans is a regular basic player. So far, the Limburg midfielder has scored nine goals and six assists in 34 league games.

SC Heerenveen is close to an agreement with VVV-Venlo about a transfer fee for the 21-year-old midfielder, who still has a contract in Limburg until mid-2025. The current number ten of the Eredivisie reportedly pays between €3 and €40,000 for Smans. The midfielder is expected to sign a multi-year contract in Friesland in the short term.

NEC, FC Utrecht, Sparta Rotterdam and Go Ahead Eagles are currently in a position that is good for play-offs for European football at the end of the season.
