Wimbledon | Day 7 schedule – What time will Van Rijthoven play against Djokovic in the fourth round?

The tradition of Middle Sunday at Wimbledon goes back to when the grass needed a day of rest. The caretakers prepared the courts on that day for the continuation of the Grand Slam, but thanks to better technology they are now able to better monitor the quality of the grass courts.

Manic Monday

The result is also that there is no longer Manic Monday. This was previously the day on which all matches in the fourth round were completed. With the disappearance of calm on Middle Sunday, Manic Monday is defunct.

However, from this Sunday the centenary of the center court will be celebrated. It must be very special for Tim van Rijthoven to have received an invitation for this. The Dutch sensation will probably have to wait a long time on Sunday before he can play against Djokovic.

The match between Van Rijthoven and Djokovic is programmed third on center court, after Waton-Niemeier and Sinner-Alcaraz. The first ball on the center court is hit at 2:30 PM, which suggests that Van Rijthoven will only compete with Djokovic in the evening. It is difficult to estimate exactly what time.

The match between Van Rijthoven and Djokovic can start at 6 p.m., but also only at 8 p.m. and any moment in between. It just depends on how long the other two games last and the center court is occupied.
