Odido has 8GB for it 3585 euros per month (30 euros first half year) where KPN cannot offer higher than 4gbps, but Odido has no IPv6 and regular downtime from what I understand from the people involved. Cheap can sometimes be expensive.

Re: solving problems: KPN has to solve a lot of problems (which is then partly outsourced to third parties as soon as something needs to be done underground), but the provider also solves a lot of problems itself. You can almost sell white-label KPN, but that is not the only way to use the KPN network. A party like Freedom can, if they wish, install and configure everything down to the last kilometer of glass themselves, although they are somewhat more limited in this regard after switching to GPON.

Freedom is expensive, especially at KPN, because KPN charges an amount per activation area. If you only have one customer in a certain area, that customer will cost you 1000 euros in activation costs/hardware, if you have 900 customers there, it will cost a little more than a euro. As a small startup ISP, Freedom found it difficult to offer low prices while having huge initial costs, especially since they had no guarantee of being successful throughout the Netherlands.

Edit: I can no longer find the very nice offer for 35 euros. Bug on the site? A/B test to convince me? Bug in my browser? No idea, but that’s a shame, it would have been nice
