CelebritiesActress Angie Harmon, 51, claims her dog was shot dead over Easter weekend. The perpetrator is a man who delivered groceries to her home in North Carolina. The local police confirm the incident, but take no further action.

“This Easter weekend, a man delivering groceries for the Instacart company shot and killed our beloved Oliver,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “He got out of his car, delivered the food and then shot our dog.” There are no images of the incident, because the security camera was charging at the time. “The police let the perpetrator go because he claimed it was self-defense. He did not suffer any bites and his pants were not torn,” Harmon added. “We are completely traumatized and devastated by the loss of our beloved boy and family member.”

The ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ actress also found it strange that the identity of the delivery person did not match the name on the Instacart app. When Harmon eventually contacted Instacart, the company reacted with shock to the incident. “We do not tolerate violence of any kind, and the delivery person’s account was immediately suspended from our platform. We await further investigation.”

According to police, the delivery man said he was delivering food to the home when the dog attacked him. Police added that another dog was present and did not attack the delivery person. The local police confirm the incident, but report that there will be no legal prosecution for the man.
