A 13-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of attempted murder after stabbing two teachers and a student at a school in Wales. The victims have now been allowed to leave the hospital.

Amman Valley School in Carmartenshire, a school with around 1,500 students aged between 11 and 18, went into lockdown at around 11.20am on Wednesday after the stabbing incident. Two teachers and a student were stabbed on a “particularly difficult day”, principal James Durbridge wrote on the school’s website. “My thoughts are with the three victims and their families. I thank all staff and students for their calm and mature response to what happened.”

A 13-year-old girl who stabbed the three victims was arrested and officially charged with attempted murder. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of making threats related to the stabbing incident. It concerns someone who shared details about the suspected perpetrator on social media.”

The three victims have since been able to leave the hospital.
