To conclude the exhibition A Nice Death, Museum Tot Zover is organizing a Funeral Cake Competition. Who bakes the most beautiful, tastiest, most creative funeral cake? Participants submit photos of their cake and have a chance to be in the final, which will take place on Sunday 9 June in the museum.

Home bakers wanted

The museum previously organized the Great Funeral Cake Test with Hiske Versprille. And we worked together with ROC students to develop new funeral cakes. With this Funeral Cake Competition, all home bakers can now indulge themselves. From grim cake with skulls to sweet memorial cake: anything is allowed, as long as the cake fits in with the theme of the museum.

Submissions are accepted until Sunday, May 5. The winner will be announced during the final on Sunday, June 9 in the museum.

A Nice Death

The exhibition A Nice Death allows visitors to see, hear, smell and taste how food plays a role at various moments surrounding death. From coffee and cake to bitterballen or halva – the Netherlands has a rich tradition in the field of funeral fare. The exhibition can be visited until June 9.
