This new version of the musical Saturday Night Fever, with the world hits of The Bee Gees, takes you back to the New York of the seventies. Where life is raw and hard, but worries are forgotten in the disco and dance offers distraction and hope.
Buddy Vedder plays the role of the young attractive Tony Manero who comes from a poor immigrant family and grows up in Brooklyn. He and his friends dream of the inaccessible Manhattan, on the other side of the river. Every Saturday evening they escape from everyday reality in the disco ‘2001 Odyssey’.
Tony is the king of the dance floor, he is adored by women and is the example for all men. When one evening he meets the beautiful Stephanie Mangano, played by Esmée Dekker, it turns his world upside down. After a number of dramatic events and confrontations with his family and friends, he decides to take the step with her to the successful and vibrant Manhattan. Looking for a new future.
