KDW (32) was arrested on Sunday morning after she killed her partner in Julius De Geyterstraat on the border of Hoboken and Kiel. The 34-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and died on the spot. The facts took place in an apartment of CIG De Stobbe, an organization that guides families in difficulties. The woman lived there, the victim sometimes came to visit.

KDW, a mother of five children, was brought before the investigating judge on Monday. She was arrested on suspicion of murder. She will appear in court later this week. The woman’s family reacted with shock to the facts on Sunday and described K. as a sweet and caring mother, with a ‘backpack’. “We didn’t expect this, we don’t know her like that.” It is not yet clear why KDW committed the gruesome facts.

According to the woman’s friends, K. has already been through a lot in her life, but they do not wish to elaborate further. In 2022, the woman became the victim of harassment by another ex-partner. The court had imposed a contact ban on that man at the time, which he violated several times in July 2022. The court sentenced the ex-partner to a prison term of 2 years and a fine of 800 euros.
