Helmond is preparing for the fifth edition of the Helmond Live music festival. This year the event will again take place on Ascension Day, Thursday, May 9. And once again the festival is full of performing tribute bands.
No fewer than 21 tribute bands on seven stages bring the center to life at various indoor and outdoor locations throughout the center and the city’s catering area. And traditionally, admission to the accessible and atmospheric music event is free. The performing bands – nationally and regionally known – perform music by various artists. You can think of Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones, but also acts such as Tina Turner and Phil Collins. The performances start at 1:00 PM and continue until approximately 9:00 PM.
The locations
You will find various indoor and outdoor stages spread throughout the center of Helmond on May 9. Below is an overview of the outdoor stages:
• The Havenplein, near Beer & Sports Bar De Bascule
• The Havenweg, near Café Frankse
• Kasteellaan, near De Kei & De Vlegel
• The Market, near Lokaal 42
• The Zuid-Koninginnewal, near ‘t Muziekcafé
• De Steenweg, at Bobby’s Beach (special youth stage)
• De Steenweg, near Barkeet, De Borrelbar and Beer & Beefs
Especially for young people
Moreover, the 2024 edition of Helmond Live has a brand new stage at Bobby’s Beach, which is specially aimed at young people. Here you can enjoy performances by bands such as Billie Eilish Tribute, Taylor Swift Tribute and SummerStars (a Mashup Band). The performances on this stage last from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. You can reach Bobby’s Beach via Bobby’s Bar on the Steenweg.
