Cause of death of ten dogs in Woudenberg boarding house remains mysterious | Animals

The dogs were found dead in their accommodation in the Utrecht luxury guesthouse where they were staying. A few owners have filed a report.

“We cannot say how long the investigation will take,” a spokesperson for the Central Netherlands police told NU.nl. The police do not make any statements about the progress of the investigation. “There are no results that we want to release yet.” However, the police say that they do not yet have a suspect in mind.

The owner of the guesthouse is still “awaiting all findings”, he told NU.nl. “We have received messages of support from many people,” he said. “They understand that this is a terrible accident that not only leaves deep marks on the owners of the dogs.”

According to Het Hondenhuys, there have been no cancellations since the tragedy. “We have been in contact with the owners of the dogs,” says the boarding house owner. “They have agreed to wait until the investigations are completed. After that, we will discuss what the appropriate steps are. Substantiated, complete answers are now more important than quick, incomplete answers.”
