The Public Prosecution Service demanded 29 years and nine months in prison in the court in Amsterdam on Monday against 43-year-old Noureddine H.. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the Amsterdam suspect is the perpetrator of the mistaken murder of DJ Djordy Latumahina in October 2016.

Rain of bullets

Latumahina was shot dead in his car in the parking garage under the apartment complex in Amsterdam Nieuw-West where he lived on October 8, 2016. His girlfriend who was sitting next to him was seriously injured. Their two-year-old daughter, who was sitting in a child seat in the back seat, was narrowly missed by the hail of bullets.

Long prison sentences

In the investigation into the murder, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal sentenced three men to years in prison in 2022 for complicity in the murder and for attempted murder of the victim’s girlfriend and their daughter. These are shooter Tony D. (almost 23 years old), Ulrich B. (20 years old) and Wendell R. (20 years old). Shooter Djurgen W. and organizer Cedric R. were sentenced to 30 years and 26 years in prison respectively in 2018. They did not appeal their conviction.

Tony D. was sentenced to seven years in prison in September 2021 for preparing a liquidation of Naoufal “Noffel” F., who has now been sentenced to life in Berlin.

Marbella

Noureddine H. was arrested for the mistaken murder by an arrest team in Marbella in May 2021. The police investigation, in which witnesses were heard and many cracked PGP messages were analyzed, has provided sufficient evidence, as far as the Public Prosecution Service is concerned, that H. gave the murder order that led to the murder of the innocent Latumahina. The victim turned out to be driving the same type of car as the intended victim, drug trafficker Gino M., who fled abroad after the attack.

Decrypted chats

Noureddine H. is also suspected of having prepared the liquidation of Naoufal “Noffel” F. in Berlin in 2015 and of leading a criminal organization aimed at committing violent crimes. According to the Public Prosecution Service, H.’s role in this has become clear from decrypted messages in which the intended implementation of the liquidation plans was discussed in detail. H. is said to have emphasized the importance of the assassination order in those messages. He is also said to have arranged money and telephones for his co-suspects.

The public prosecutor emphasized in the indictment on Monday that preparing for a liquidation and leading a criminal organization are serious criminal offenses, but of a different weight than the murder of Djordy Latumahina.

‘The violent and ruthless actions of the suspects have caused immense and irreparable suffering to the mother, father, partner, daughter, other family members and friends of Djordy Latumahina. For the surviving relatives, the loss of Djordy will last a lifetime, and with his death their happiness in life has also been destroyed.’

Three months less

Because the case against Noureddine H. could only be substantively dealt with by the court today and the reasonable period has therefore been exceeded, the officer has reduced her sentence by three months. That is why a prison sentence of 30 years was not demanded, but 29 years and nine months.
