Wear rain jackets for the riders in this fourth Giro stage from Acqui Terme to Andora, because quite a few showers are expected. The sprinters will see their chance for the second day in a row, but there is still a hill to conquer in the final. Furthermore, the road is largely flat. The start is at 12.30 pm and the peloton is expected at the finish around 5.15 pm. Follow all developments in the live blog below.

It is familiar territory for the riders in the northwest of Italy. The finish town of Andora (not the dwarf state of Andorra through which the Tour de France and the Vuelta regularly pass) is also part of the Milan-San Remo route every year. As an arrival point, this area has few major obstacles. Halfway through the stage, the Colle del Melogno (third category) is the only serious climb.

However, the sprinters still have to take the Capo Mele into account in the final. The road then goes uphill for 2.5 kilometers at 5.2 percent. After that it is only 2.7 kilometers flat to the finish. Normally the sprinters should be able to cross the Capo Mele well, but they should not be surprised there. The peloton now knows that classification leader Tadej Pogacar can simply try to attack.

During this stage, according to Weeronline, numerous showers will pass over the northwest of Italy. Locally, quantities can amount to approximately 20 millimeters. The temperature is between fifteen and nineteen degrees.
