Gobo (Lanaken) has been awarded the best Logistics Project of the Year together with BlooLoc (Hasselt). Jurgen Gobyn’s logistics company was one of the first ‘believers’ to implement BlooLoc technology, which allows pallets to be moved in the warehouse without scanning them.

The main prize for the Logistics Project of the Year went to Van Moer Logistics, with the third laureate being an award for a Limburg duo.

As an ‘early adopter’, Gobo from Lanaken implemented the technology of BlooLoc, located on the Corda Campus. BlooLoc is the spiritual father of the YooBeeEye system, which allows goods to be automatically mapped in real time. By implementing this technology, Gobo now has a ‘digital twin’ of their warehouse. In other words: a virtual copy with all the locations and actions of their goods. This makes scanning every pallet unnecessary, which is a luxury in terms of personnel commitment (time and money) and ease of use.

The attention this award generates offers new opportunities for further dissemination of the ingenious system. Hooray for Limburg!
