The final of the Conference League, the third European club tournament, is on Wednesday, May 29 at the stadium of AEK, Olympiacos’ rival, in the Greek capital Athens. It is the second time that a Greek club has reached a European final. Panathinaikos lost the final of the European Cup I (the current Champions League, ed.) to Ajax (0-2) in 1971.

Olympiacos, number four in Greece, defended a large lead in front of their own audience against Villa, which is fourth in the Premier League. The home team took the lead in the tenth minute. El Kaabi tapped in a cross from Quini’s left: 1-0.

El Kaabi scored his second goal in the final phase from a long kick from goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis. Total after two matches: 6-2. Olympiakos will play the final of the Conference League in their own country at the end of May against Fiorentina, which lost the final to West Ham United (1-2) last season.
