On 9 November it was announced that the new location of Holland Casino Venlo has won one of the prestigious European Property Awards. The prize was awarded in London for the best leisure architecture. The casino in Venlo is designed by MVSA Architects.

The European Property Awards set standards for the industry. During the awards, the jury looks at design, quality, innovation, originality and sustainability. The unique design by the Dutch MVSA Architects was rated ‘best leisure building’ by an independent jury consisting of more than eighty experts from the industry.

“We are extremely proud of this international appreciation for this fantastic casino,” says Wouter Thijssen, architect director of MVSA.

Opening

Earlier this year, the branch officially opened with a big party. The branch was also nominated for best casino in Europe. Holland Casino Venlo finished second in April, after the Monte Carlo casino in Monaco.

The building has also been nominated in two categories at the prestigious World Architecture Festival. The nominations concern the categories ‘best hotel & leisure building’ and ‘best use of color in architecture’. These prizes will be awarded at the festival in Lisbon on December 2, 2022.
