‘B&B Full of Love’
During the recordings, Esra and Bram had never seen each other. It wasn’t until a reunion with a number of cast members that they saw each other and sparks immediately flew. “Nobody believed it, but that was really a coincidence. We started talking. I mentioned that I had also worked on farms and lived in Sweden for a while. That evening the two of us went for a drink somewhere else. We talked until six in the morning,” says Esra A.D.
The two exchanged numbers, and just a week later Esra was on a plane to Sweden. “We both thought it would be nice if I came to visit him. I happened to have that week off from work and thought: why not? I’d rather run the risk of it coming to nothing than not go.” And that turned out not to have been in vain, because that week was the start of their love adventure.
Sweden
A few months later, the couple announced their relationship via Instagram, and not only that. Esra announced that he would exchange Arnhem for Sweden. A big change, she now acknowledges. “I now only have two neighbors and they are also a lot further away. Once every two weeks I go into town, for example to have a coffee.”

But she really enjoys the nature and peace in Sweden. She feels a lot freer and notices that Swedish residents are much less stressed than the Dutch. “If I spent two hours packing my groceries here at the supermarket, no one would care. In the Netherlands you don’t have to try that. Then everyone thinks: ‘Hurry up!’”
