The cliffhanger ended with Shanti inconsolably confessing to Rik that she is pregnant.

Rik is overjoyed with the news that he is becoming a father again and wants to shout it from the rooftops, but Shanti tells him to wait until she has passed the crucial three-month mark. Rik promises, but that same morning he has already told Bing, who reacts very surprised for the sake of form.

Shanti’s dilemma

Shanti still doesn’t know whether she should hire Richard van Nooten at Palmnoot. He comes up with an interesting proposal for an art fair in Brussels, but she cannot trust him blindly and presents his plan to Ludo, who does everything he can to discourage her from collaborating. As far as Ludo is concerned, it is simple: Richard is an opportunist who ultimately always chooses himself.

Later that day, Janine reminds her husband that he is not completely pure and honest either. Let’s face it, he isn’t helping Shanti just out of the goodness of his heart. Ludo admits that he would like to get his hands on Palmnut… In fact, he is already working on a plan to sideline Richard.

Janine and Stefano diligently search for the family of the deceased widow Ineke Roest. Their search leads to a former newspaper journalist who wrote about the fight within the family in 1984. After much hassle, the now elderly man still remembers one of the daughters’ names: Yvonne Muller.

She starts the research and is soon able to cross off many Yvonnes Muller until she arrives at the only correct one. Together with Stefano, she visits the woman who reacts so nervously to the sudden visit that she slams the door in Janine’s face. But that doesn’t stop Janine from persevering.

Nola’s present

Nina had a good conversation with Nola and believes she is ready for more responsibility. She wants to tell her daughter that she is the future owner of the Rozenboom and the other 15 hotels in that chain. Bing and Ludo think it is a bad plan, although they change tack when Nola apologizes of her own accord and also wants an advance on her clothing allowance. to be able to pay Ludo back for the hotel room she rented during her runaway campaign.

Nola and Troj have a nice dinner date in De Rozenboom, but she is disappointed when Troj takes her home and he wants to leave as quickly as possible when he spots Bing. Nola confronts her father later that evening: she just wants Troj to stay the night. And not in the guest room, but with her… because she wants sex. Bing is dumbfounded.

Steef & Naomi’s misunderstood love

Steef and Naomi find each other and their new love tattoos the end. But those around them think very differently about this. Marwan, Julian, Elisa and Laura make no secret of it: in their experience the body decoration is hasty and far from beautiful.

Fortunately, Steef and Naomi do like their tattoos.

Marwan has another problem with the lovebirds: they have had the TV from the living room in their bedroom for at least a week. After asking politely several times, he explodes at Naomi who refuses to reset the device. Steef intervenes and makes sure the TV comes back.

Henk chooses himself

Henk is almost over his back injury, but even with all the extra help for Laura, he still cannot really relax. Janine notices that when she comes over and he turns down a dinner date with Jonathan because he would be away from home for too long. She urges him to go: Laura is being well taken care of.

But all of that worry suddenly falls on Julian. He has to leave De Koning early to pick up Laura from the studio. As a result, he is forced to leave new strength Jasper behind, who really has to leave at 9 p.m. and the pub also closes. Julian is disappointed, but doesn’t want to let Laura and Henk know.

That’s not easy, because Henk is very curious and asks too many difficult questions. Steef and Julian come up with a strong excuse, but the fact remains that all the fuss is too much for Julian. He gets back problems again and has to take it easy. Fortunately, Elisa is willing to assist him.

At the end of the week, Shanti makes a decision about Palmnoot’s business future. She finds Ludo too haughty and arrogant and offers Richard a six-month contract under strict conditions so that he can prove himself.

Shanti lets Ludo know that she is moving on without him. He reacts sportily, but that is of course only an appearance. He sets his plan in motion and has his men stir up the police investigation into the death of Billy de Palma.

And further: Nola had a 7.8 for mathematics, Merel has to stay in Zwolle longer and the Verduyntjes have now been so thinned out after countless exits and cast changes that Julian and Dolly are still the only original apartment residents.
