Je Huis op Orde viewers moved by Mary (79): ‘Dear woman’

--

Victor Brand went into last night Your House in Order visit 79-year-old Mary. After the death of her husband and one of her daughters, Mary became a bit lost in her house full of things. But viewers label Mary as the sweetest candidate and are touched by her warm appearance.

Mary has six daughters and turns out to be a real creative person. But since the death of her husband and her daughter Anna, Mary finds it difficult to get her household in order. She keeps a lot of things, but can no longer find everything in her own home.

After her daughter’s death, Mary lost perspective

“I’m actually already a little bit in love with Mary. What a nice person,” concludes presenter Viktor Brand as he walks through her house. It’s not dirty or complete chaos, but Mary just collects a lot. Especially for hobby purposes. Because Mary has a lot of creative hobbies. Such as sewing, painting, making syrups, growing succulents and many other creative activities.

Together with daughters Anita and Heidi, Mary talks about recent times. “My hobbies all had a place in my daytime activities. And then my daughter Anna died and then things went wrong. Then I lost the overview.” And when Brand later asks about Anna again, Mary doesn’t keep it dry. According to her, it is very difficult to lose a child as a mother.

Grateful and appreciative of a tidy ‘hobby house’

When Brand suggests removing a branch or zipper while tidying up, Mary sees something useful in everything. It is quite difficult for her to part with things. “I’m keeping an eye on you,” he says. “Yes, I love you too,” said Mary. After which Brand laughs. Ultimately, the children and grandchildren help Mary sort through all her things.

Mary gets a tidy and structured ‘hobby house’ in return. Including an extensive hobby room, which even viewers envy. She is very grateful and thinks everything is wonderful. Her daughters and herself must therefore shed a tear. Even when they see a painting of the deceased Anna hanging on the wall. “Great, great job,” concludes Mary.

Your Huis op Orde viewers are moved by dear Mary

And when Brand turns on a record by her favorite Johnny Cash on the new record player, Mary can’t help but do a happy dance. And that once again creates endearing images. Viewers are moved by sweet Mary and label last night’s episode as one of the funniest and most beautiful yet.
