The alleged stalker from the series now tells her version of the story and indicates that she is the victim herself. In an interview with the British newspaper DailyMail she explains that she is not at all happy with the portrayal of her character.
The 58-year-old woman from London claims she is receiving death threats and being abused. “He uses Baby Reindeer to stalk me now,” she says in the interview. According to the woman, Richard only created the series to bully her. “I am the victim. He wrote a show about me.”
Although details have been avoided in the series to keep the woman’s identity under wraps, fans have flocked to find her. According to Richard, this was never the intention and he asked them to stop the search. ‘Please don’t speculate about who the real people might be. That’s not the point of our show,” he wrote on social media.
Despite many attempts to conceal her identity, the London woman is still threatening to take legal action. It is not yet known whether the woman has actually filed a report.
