It’s a party at the house of Britain’s Prince William on Tuesday. Prince Louis blows out six candles. He was captured for the occasion by his mother, Princess Catherine.
Louis’ birthday photo was posted on Twitter by Kensington Palace on Tuesday afternoon. A little later than usual, which caused nervous faces among fans of the British royal family. Until now, the photo had already been distributed to the press prior to the anniversary.
Catherine (42) photographed her youngest child lying on his stomach in the grass of Adelaide Cottage, their home in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Louis wears a shirt with a checked pattern and smiles broadly at the camera. In the photo, Kensington Palace thanks everyone who sent a birthday wish.
Louis, fifth in line to the throne, was last seen in public at Christmas when he attended church at Sandringham with his entire family. Princess Catherine (Kate to intimates) announced last month that she is being treated for cancer. After the successful operation on her abdomen at the beginning of this year, the disease did not seem to be present, but she was later diagnosed with cancer. She is now receiving chemotherapy.
Early last month, Catherine was forced to publicly apologize for a photoshop blunder. A photo of herself and her children George, Charlotte and Louis was slightly edited. It turned out to be ‘an experiment with montage, as many amateur photographers do’, according to Catherine.
