Instituto Buena Bista presents exclusive Artist Talk and exhibition with Charlotte Lagro

WILLEMSTAD – Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) is organizing an exclusive Artist Talk with Charlotte Lagro, their current Artist in Residence. This evening will take place on Thursday, May 2. Following the Artist Talk, IBB invites the public to visit a special exhibition focusing on Lagro’s artworks. This evening will also be the annual one Graduation Show of IBB take place, where students present their graduation projects.

Charlotte Lagro is a versatile artist who expresses herself in videos, photos, performances, drawings and sculptures. Her work has previously been exhibited in leading institutions such as the Bonnefanten Museum, LOOP Barcelona and the OCAT Institute.

Thanks to support from the Mondriaan Fund, Lagro spent three months at IBB, where she worked intensively with the students. One of the highlights of her residency is the video installation ‘Phantasm’, which explores the students’ dream worlds.

The exhibition is open to the public until the end of May. Please note that the exhibition follows IBB’s regular opening hours from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, and is closed on public holidays such as Ascension Day.
