“I had a pretty good start and ended up sitting next to Max in Turn 1,” says Charles Leclerc. “But then I didn’t want to take too much risk. If you crash heavily in the sprint, you cannot participate in qualifying. Yesterday we were already close, hopefully I can still take pole position this afternoon.”

Saturday May 4 at 6:53 PM

“I didn’t have the best start and had to defend a lot to keep my position,” Max Verstappen analyzes. “The safety car restored calm. Furthermore, it was a good, but not perfect race. We still have some work to do towards qualifying, fortunately that is possible with this new format. We still have to fine-tune the car a bit. But we his of course stay with the win.”
