The Christian Union party office in Amersfoort has been defaced with texts and stickers. Party leader Mirjam Bikker said this in the radio program Sven on 1. The party will file a report. According to a spokesperson, the list included “dirty genocide excusers”.

Images are still being viewed and the party is consulting with the police on how to proceed with this.

Tomorrow the House of Representatives will debate anti-Semitism. Party leader Bikker regularly speaks out on this subject. She is one of the initiators of a statement to stand up against hatred of Jews, which has been signed by thirteen of the fifteen parties in the House of Representatives. Only Forum for Democracy and Think have not signed.

Last month, the House of Representatives called on the cabinet to speak out strongly against the increasing expressions of anti-Semitism in society, especially in the cultural sector.

More reports of discrimination

Yesterday, the Ministry of the Interior said in a report that police and anti-discrimination agencies received more reports of discrimination last year, especially anti-Semitism and discrimination against Muslims. Trans people also reported more often.

This is the fourth year in a row that the number of reports has increased.
