Evita Muzic won the sixth stage of La Vuelta Femenina on Friday. The French rider defeated Demi Vollering in an exciting battle with two. “I think I will race with more confidence from now on,” Muzic said afterwards flash interview.

Before the start of the sixth stage, Muzic said she would try to follow Vollering and then beat her in the sprint. That scenario actually came true, something that made the young rider laugh in the interview. “I said so, but I wasn’t sure it would actually work.”

“When I saw on the final climb that I was the only one who could still follow, I really tried to focus. In the end I was just able to get past it. I am very proud that we succeeded. It’s also great that it worked today, because my teammates really worked hard today. It’s also great for me, because I’ve finished fourth many times. I really wanted to win a big race and now I finally did it.”

“I’m often too nice in the peloton,” says Muzic. “I give up my position too easily, so I often start too far back on the climbs. I think I will race with more confidence from now on. What do I still hope to achieve here? I want to move up in the general classification and why not win another stage?”
