The dirt-cheap MG3 is very spacious and has almost 200 hp

Cars are expensive, even in the segment of more compact cars such as the Renault Clio and Toyota Yaris. MG is shaking up that B-segment with the cheap MG3, which offers a lot of space and almost 200 hp for little money.

MG itself called the 3 a competitor of the Polo, but in terms of price it is closer to the Suzuki Swift, Dacia Sandero, Toyota Yaris and Renault Clio. However, this MG offers more space than its competitors.

Cheap MG

Not only does the Chinese MG offer more space, it also has more horsepower per euro. The MG3 always has a turboless 1.5-liter four-cylinder that works together with an electric motor. The system power is 195 hp.

The electric motor of the MG3 is linked to a 1.83 kWh battery pack. The hybrid powertrain provides a consumption of 4.4 liters of petrol per 100 kilometers.

The MG3 has a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The machine has 3 gears. First gear is used up to about 80 kilometers per hour. You drive electrically most of the time. The MG’s second gear is used for higher speed acceleration and the third gear is an overdrive.

Interior MG3

In the interior you will find a 10.25-inch touchscreen that works together with a 7-inch digital cockpit. These screens are standard and are also included with the entry-level model.
