An employee of parent company Termeer Groep confirmed this after a message from Heart of the Netherlands. A few stores would remain open, although it is not yet known which stores are involved. The company’s website lists 29 stores in the Netherlands. Of these, 4 are in Brabant: Breda, Den Bosch, Eindhoven and Tilburg.

Sacha’s head office is located on Magistratenlaan in Den Bosch. The distribution center is located on the Katsbogten industrial estate in Tilburg.

The shoe chain’s staff will not end up on the street, Termeer Groep promises HvNL. The employees would be transferred to other company chains, such as Sissy-Boy or Manfield.

The company has its origins in 1909, when the first shoe factory opened under the name Termeer. In the following century, it grew into the parent company, with the first store of subsidiary Sacha from the early 1970s. The chain has been struggling for some time. In 2020, the Belgian branch with seventeen stores went bankrupt. There are now three stores in Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent, and Sacha is also active online in Belgium.
