Flitsmeister Android Auto is no longer free

Flitsmeister, the app with which you keep track of speed checks, cameras and dangerous situations on the road, introduces a number of changes. The subscriptions are being partially overhauled, meaning that a number of functions that were previously free now disappear behind a paywall. In a blog, Flitsmeister reports that it must invest extra in the app and the hardware that the company sells.

The most important is the option to use Flitsmeister with Android Auto (and Apple CarPlay). This option was always free, but you now need the Flitsmeister Pro subscription for this. This costs 2.99 euros per month. In addition, you will then have access to the average speed in section checks; also an option that was previously free to use.

A new Flitsmeister subscription will also be released on May 6: Pro Plus. This subscription includes all features from Pro and the free version of the app, and costs 6.99 euros per month. The subscription also includes a number of additional features: trip registration, speed camera history and the option to contest traffic fines. If you do not want to pay for the app, you can of course continue to use the free version.

Flashmeister Dash

Flitsmeister recently introduced the Dash: a device with a small, round touchscreen that shows you how fast you are allowed to drive somewhere and what your current speed is. You also receive warnings for speed cameras, speed checks, delays and dangerous situations on the road. The device works completely standalone via an eSIM, so you don’t need a smartphone.

The Flitsmeister Dash can be placed in the car in two ways: with the supplied holder or in the ventilation grille. The Dash will be released in July for 149.99 euros and also works with a subscription of 9.99 euros per month. This includes Flitsmeister Pro and trip registration.
