Royal A-ware will again keep the milk price at the same level in May compared to a month earlier. The WP milk price, the weighted actual milk price of Royal A-ware, amounts to 49.10 euros per 100 kilos in this month, just like in March and April. The price for organic milk is also stable. Dairy farmers receive 58.95 euros for this.

The WP milk price is the actual milk money paid in the month, divided by the total number of kilos of milk delivered from all milk flows, excluding organic. The price for traditional milk in May is 46.52 euros. The highest price for conventional milk is paid for ‘Better for’ milk. A-ware pays 52.11 euros for this per 100 kilos. ‘Better for’ is Albert Heijn’s quality mark for which a large number of additional requirements apply on the dairy farm.

A-ware still uses a number of milk flows. In March 47.79 euros are paid for raw milk, 47.44 euros for meadow milk and 49.04 euros for Cow Consciously. This latest milk flow includes a program with additional animal welfare and sustainability requirements for the German market.

The milk prices apply to the contents of 4.45 percent fat and 3.58 percent protein, including all premiums and for the average volume volume of all dairy farmers in the relevant milk flow of 2023.
