The Fisker Ocean may be one of the best deals you can currently score on an electric car. At least, on paper. In this video we tell you everything about the special EV!

Fisker is not doing well at the moment. The brand, founded by Henrick Fisker, has now stopped production and it is not certain whether the brand will survive. And that is important to know. Because anyone who can score a Fisker (with a discount) now has to take into account a car that may not have a warranty or dealer network in the future.

The Fisker Ocean is a good deal on paper

If we forget the problems for a moment, it is above all a beautiful SUV for relatively little money. The list price is just under 44,000 euros. That version has an 80 kWh battery pack that allows you to travel 464 kilometers according to the WLTP measuring method. The battery is linked to an electric motor that produces 286 hp.

The other two versions have two electric motors, a 113 kWh battery pack, a range of around 700 kilometers and over 570 hp. The most expensive version, the Extreme, is slightly faster than the other one with four-wheel drive. In terms of luggage space, the Fisker Ocean may be a bit disappointing. Especially because the car itself is very large. It offers only 476 liters.

If you turn off all systems, you will be in a royal frenzy, the big Fisker. It has a nice comfortable chassis, but is not too softly sprung. It really is a wonderful travel car. If you give more gas, you will feel how fast the Extreme version is. The Fisker Ocean sprints from 0 to 100 in 3.9 seconds. And that’s fast for a car weighing more than 2,400 kilograms. He really has an unyielding feeling, but also wants to go through a bend quite reasonably. It is striking that in wet weather the inner wheel spins quickly. You can see more about the driving characteristics in the video!

  • Nice travel car
  • Quirky design
  • Lots of power and battery capacity for the money
  • Software not yet at the right level
  • There may be no dealer support and software updates in the future
  • Very big for the Netherlands

With its impressive appearance, the Fisker Ocean has an edge and the driving characteristics are also not disappointing. However, due to the unstable brand situation and software, choosing the Ocean is not without risk.
