Bitcoin price falls, Solana and its largest memecoin are falling fast

--

The bitcoin (BTC) price has dipped below $63,000 again. After days of mostly moving sideways around $64,000, the price has now taken a dive of several percent. Bitcoin’s price drop has dragged down almost every major altcoin, with solana (SOL) and dogwifhat (WIF) as notable decliners.

BTC on its way to $61,000?

The bitcoin price tried for several days to conquer the resistance around $64,000, but was unable to do so. The race has been attempted countless times, but has always been rejected.

Yesterday the price also moved mostly just below $64,000. In the afternoon, Bitcoin briefly exceeded this price level, after which the bears took control. During the evening, the price continued to decline, reaching a low of just under $62,500 at the beginning of the night. The price has now recovered slightly, but is still below $63,000.

The next support level for BTC is around $61,000. If more pain lurks, there is a good chance that liquidity will be raised here. On the way up, $64,000 logically serves as important resistance.

At the time of writing, the BTC price on crypto exchange Bybit powered by SATOS is equal to $63,425. On the Dutch crypto exchange Bitvavo, the BTC price in euros amounts to 58,388. Compared to 24 hours ago, BTC is down 0.90%.

Crypto market turns red, SOL and WIF fall sharply

As usual, most altcoins follow the price direction of bitcoin. Within the broader top 100, only a few managed to escape a decline. Solana-based memecoin dogwifhat is today’s biggest top 100 decliner, down 8.65%.

Looking at the 10 largest crypto coins, there is not a single increase to be noted. For example, ethereum (ETH) fell by 1.28%, ripple (XRP) by 2.43% and cardano (ADA) by 1.21%. Solana (SOL) and dogecoin (DOGE) are the biggest losers, with declines of 4.48% and 3.21% respectively.
