Director Ridley Scott was presented with the Knight Grand Cross at Windsor Castle by Prince William on Wednesday. The 86-year-old director received the award for his work for the British film industry.

Scott is known for films such as Gladiator, Blade Runner, Prometheus and Alien. The filmmaker was already knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2003.

King Charles has now awarded Scott the Knight Grand Cross. This is the highest British award anyone can receive.

In addition to Scott, more people were recognized for their work at Wednesday’s ceremony. For example, goalkeeper Mary Earps and former goalkeeper Peter Shilton were knighted. Former rugby player Bill Beaumont, like Scott, was awarded the Knight Grand Cross.
