In recent years, presenter Carrie ten Napel (44) sometimes goes to bed depressed because of all the bad news in the talk show ‘Op1’. She told this to ‘De Telegraaf’ on Friday. She says that she wants to do things differently in her new Friday evening show on NPO1.

“I want to give people a positive feeling”

“At Op1 we focus very much on current news,” says Carrie. “In recent years, that has often automatically been bad news. Sometimes you go to bed depressed. I like to share a different kind of stories with a topical hook. I want to give people a positive feeling.”

Carrie also wants to show ‘the sound from the province’ in her new program. “Sometimes I said during Op1 meetings: guys, I don’t think people in my village on the schoolyard are concerned about this,” said the presenter in The Telegraph. She will broadcast the program from a football canteen: “This is a place where it doesn’t matter who or what you are. You all come there to play sports or to watch your child.”

Omroep MAX got the coveted time slot on the Friday evening. In addition to Carrie, the names of Fidan Ekiz and Nadia Moussaid were also mentioned for the Friday evening show on NPO. Eva Jinek presents a talk show for broadcaster AVROTROS from Monday to Thursday on the eve of NPO 1. Jinek announced in July last year that he was switching from RTL to the public broadcaster.

When it was recently announced that the program On 1 was going to stop, it turned out that not everyone had been informed about this in advance:
