The participation of Dutch artist Ziggy Krassenberg (22) in ‘American Idol’ has come to an end in the most recent episode of the program. This is evident from a video that the makers of the show posted online on Tuesday.

“I worked so hard to become who I am”

“We’ve had discussions and can’t reach an agreement yet,” jury member Katy Perry begins in the video, after which she announces that Ziggy and a fellow candidate will have to go into an extra round to determine who can continue. “They both did very well,” Katy responds after the sing-off. “They both made the song their own,” adds fellow jury member Lionel Richie.

Ziggy also participated in the Netherlands Idols and tried it too The voice of Holland and more recently K2 Looking for K3. Yet he feels more at home in America. “I had examples like Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Beyoncé. I think I fit in there much better,” he recently told the A.D. “In the Netherlands the mindset is ‘what the farmer doesn’t know, he doesn’t eat’. I have a big personality and am very outspoken, in America that becomes interesting much faster.”

Ziggy was a guest in the most recent episode of Realitea. In it he talked extensively about his American Dream:
