The 17-year-old princess is back home with her parents at Huis ten Bosch Palace. She accompanies her parents, sisters and the rest of the royal family during King’s Day in Emmen. There she tells the press about her time in the land of pizza, pasta and ice cream.

“I miss my parents a little every day”

“It is a very beautiful experience, certainly,” says Princess Ariane in a press interview with NOS. “I’m happy to be back, because I missed my parents,” the princess admits. The reporter asks whether the 17-year-old princess has already mastered the Italian language. Her Italian is still “così così”, she says laughing, which means so-so, “but I’m working on it”. One of her sisters agrees by saying that things are “getting better every day”. And the princess agrees. The princess is wearing a red-brown suit from MaxMara during King’s Day.
