DJ Martin Garrix will once again give a big fireworks show at his apartment on Gustav Mahlerlaan on the Zuidas on King’s Day. Today the fireworks were brought.

In recent years, the world-famous DJ has given fireworks shows from his roof terrace. Not all local residents are happy about it. “This is a residential/work area, not an event location,” one of them told AT5. “It’s nice that he’s throwing a party, but the neighborhood is experiencing a lot of inconvenience. Noise and mess.”

The Amsterdam DJ, whose real name is Martijn Gerritsen, has received a permit for the show, just like in previous years. This concerns a so-called ‘fireworks ignition permit’ from the North Sea Canal Area Environmental Service on behalf of the province of North Holland.

The document states that fireworks will be set off from the roof on April 27 between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. “The total ignition time will be approximately 10 minutes.”

The DJ has made more preparations for the party, as can be seen in a video he posted on his Instagram page:

This is what the show looked like in 2022:
