‘Rammstein to Groningen City Park in 2023’

--

Rammstein will play a concert in the Stadspark in Groningen next year. RTV Noord writes this on the basis of a reliable source. The application is indeed available.

We already knew that Rammstein would come back to the Netherlands in 2023. After a concert in August, the German metal band dropped flags of the countries that can expect another visit next summer. The Dutch (and Belgian) flag was included. Until now, however, it was guesswork as to the location.

Now it seems very likely that it has become the City Park in Groningen; and specifically the Trotbaan there. The zoning plan of the municipality of Groningen contains an application for a concert with a capacity of 50,000 visitors, requested by Greenhouse Talent (see above). Greenhouse Talent is the promoter of Rammstein’s tour, so 1 and 1 are quite similar to 2.

When RTV Noord calls the promoter for more information, the response also speaks volumes:

Tom is a booking manager at Greenhouse Talent and is responsible for the Rammstein concerts, among other things. He would like to talk to me for a moment. (…) When I then (…) ask him whether Rammstein is coming to Groningen, there is silence for two seconds. Tom says nothing, but his response is telling: ‘Is this for a news article or do you want to make a business proposal?’ If I confirm that it is a news article, the conversation ends immediately.

ticket sales

The official announcement, including the exact date and info about ticket sales, will be announced https://twitter.com/michielveenstra/status/1564988123188285443 expected. You will be the first to know via the Festileaks App: you will then receive a push notification for major concert and festival news. Download it from the Apple Store or Play Store.

World level

Groningen is back on the map as a concert city, after they already hosted the mega concerts of Green Day and Guns N’ Roses in the Stadspark in 2022. In 2023, the Martini city can once again prepare for world-class production.

Rammstein’s two concerts in the Goffertpark in Nijmegen were lyrically received in July. It took more than a week to set up the concerts. See also this impressive timelapse:
