The first match of Kamers met Aandacht in the municipality of Katwijk was made in Rijnsburg. A very promising contract has been signed, with which 20-year-old Johanna moves in with Lisette. Kamers met Attention supports renting out rooms to young people who just need an intermediate step to be able to live completely independently.

Rooms with Attention

Rooms with attention has been a national initiative for 4 years. Last year it started in the entire Dune and Bulb Region. “It is a good example of having an eye for each other,” says councilor Emile Soetendal. ‘A listening ear and a helping hand is sometimes all that is needed. And that applies to the tenant and landlord.

Regional coordinator Nadine Bakker says: “For young people it is a lifelong opportunity to live safely and to grow further from there. But it also offers many positive things for a landlord. You often see that children have left home and people need fun. So it’s a win-win situation.”

Kamers met Attention looks forward to further collaborations and expanding their reach to support even more young people in their transition to independence. Do you also have a spare room? Then register via kamermetaandacht.nl.
