In January, the most passengers traveled to and from the three airports in the Caribbean Netherlands: almost 47 duisend. Saturday March 4 was the busiest day; then passed 2.5 duisend travelers to the terminals of Flamingo Airport on Bonaire, FD Roosevelt Airport on Sint Eustatius or Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport on Saba. On Friday April 28, the airports together processed the most flights (94).

Most passengers fly to and from Bonaire

In 2023, landings on or departures took place 447 duisend travelers from Flamingo Airport on Bonaire. That is 89 percent of all passengers in the Caribbean Netherlands. This is almost 4 percent more travelers than in 2022 and more than 16 percent more than in 2019. The runway of Flamingo Airport on Bonaire is three kilometers long, allowing larger aircraft to land. The runways on Saba and Sint Eustatius are shorter, which is why smaller aircraft are flown to these islands.

Largest increase in airline passengers on St. Eustatius

In 2023, people traveled extensively 56 duisend airline passengers to and from the airports on Sint Eustatius and Saba. The largest increase in the number of air passengers was at FD Roosevelt Airport on St. Eustatius, where almost 32 duisend travelers flew to and from the island. This is almost 40 percent more than in 2022. Almost all flights flew to and from Saba 25 duisend passengers, almost 17 percent more than in 2022.

More than a quarter more flights to and from Bonaire

In 2023, more than 1,000,000 units were installed at Flamingo Airport on Bonaire 14.2 duibroadcast flights. That is 27 percent more than in 2022. FD Roosevelt Airport on St. Eustatius processed a lot 5 duisend flights, 6 percent more than in 2022. Fewer flights were traveled to and from Saba in 2023 than a year earlier; Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport processed 3.6 duisend flights in 2023, a decrease of 6.7 percent.

Most passengers from Bonaire to and from Amsterdam

Of all flights on Bonaire, 74 percent were flights between Bonaire and Curaçao. Amsterdam followed with 10 percent of all flights. Most passengers were transported between Bonaire and Amsterdam; 188 duibroadcast, 42 percent of the total. Traveled between Bonaire and Curaçao 146 duisend passengers.
From Sint Eustatius and Saba, flights were mainly flown to and from Sint Maarten, accounting for 75 and 88 percent of the flights and 89 and 94 percent of the number of passengers respectively.
