Omroep Brabant’s TV program Zinderend Zuiden will have a new face from April 1: Gina July. Every week Gina takes you to the best festivals and events. And celebrate? Leave that to the people of Brabant. You will see a new episode every Monday from 5:15 PM on Omroep Brabant TV, online, Brabant+ and YouTube.
Her witty comments combined with a unique interview style make for the most hilarious conversations. Do you follow Katertje or Dumpert on Instagram? Then you have undoubtedly seen Gina passing by. Gina July (28) is not only a presenter and model, but also a well-known personality online. We will therefore also see more of her on Omroep Brabant’s social media channels.
Gina July may not officially be Brabant, but she does feel Brabant and after eleven years she also sounds a bit Tilburg. The presenter comes from Soest, moved to Goes and ended up in Tilburg for her artist training. The plan was to become a singer and actress, but she soon discovered that presenting was made for her.
Festival animal
Gina has already visited many festivals for the various online channels, and they were usually in Brabant. “In that respect, Zinderend Zuiden is tailor-made for me,” says the presenter. Because he also likes a party and fun. She has been on stage for years as a singer and MC with various disco acts.
But the woman from Tilburg does not think she has seen everything yet. “There are so many events and festivals in Brabant, they are regularly updated, just like the artists. Furthermore, new original events are added every year. There is still so much to discover.”
Behind the scenes
In Zinderend Zuiden, Gina not only wants to show that Brabanders are experts in celebrating, but also in organizing. “Because celebrating is self-evident in our province, but it involves so much love, creativity and help from volunteers. I also want to show those beautiful stories and efforts behind the scenes.”
She does this with enthusiasm and an open mind. “I’m really looking forward to Paaspop this weekend, but also to Best Kept Secret, which I haven’t been to for a few years.” However, she is just as excited about the collector’s fairs and a ghost tour she is going to visit.
New adventures
“Take a Harley Davidson meeting last week, I had no idea we had something like that in Brabant.” She is very curious to see where this festival season will take her. “We make it nice and light and I am convinced that every weekend will be a new adventure.”
