A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at the Nieuwestad in Leeuwarden. The fire brigade responded with several vehicles. Nothing is yet known about any injuries, the exact extent and damage. It is still unknown what the cause of the fire is.
The first report came to the emergency center around half past three in the afternoon. 12 minutes later it was scaled up to ‘major fire’. The fire brigade is present with, among other things, 3 tankers and 1 aerial work platform. Corps from Stiens, among others, have been called to provide assistance.
